Enrollment in this course is by invitation only

About This Course

The Thuthuka Lite Program is a collaboration project between SAICA, FASSET and SAICA accredited universities. Amongst other support initiatives in this program, there is also this particular new and innovative online initiative administered through the Insight Education Online Learning Platform, which focuses on the following four pillars:

  • Supplementary online content – Insight Education has been developing content that focuses on helping students understand the topics they study rather than memorising its theory. This content is made available through this course which students in this program can access anytime, anywhere.
  • Mentoring/Tutoring – Insight Education’s Online Learning Platform allows facilitators to create engaging learning sequences, which promote active participation as students alternate between learning concepts and solving simple exercises to check their understanding. Facilitators and students can engage with each other through highly social and advanced discussion forums, making sure that questions and problems are addressed through collaboration. The advantage of this technology allows students to obtain immediate and consistent support, something a normal workshop or class setting can’t provide.
  • Motivation – Apart from academic support, what is most needed consistently throughout the student career is emotional and motivational support. When role models, industry leaders and alumni that walked the path share their stories and provide relevant advice, it provides a solid foundation for a student’s belief that they too can succeed. The biggest constraint to this support being offered, is the access and availability of the aforementioned persons to give their message of support. Through this platform, we are breaking this barrier to provide consistent motivational support that students can access at anytime.
  • Exposure – Where should I do my articles? What type of articles should I do? What does my career entail? What are the alternative career paths that I can follow? Where can I find out about vacation work? Where can I find out about financial support? All these are constant questions students are facing throughout their student career, yet the answers to this are scattered and sometimes hard to find. Through this platform, we bring all of this into one central place, together with the above fundamental support pillars. This course therefore forms a one stop place for the students in this support program.

This course is by invite only as administered by SAICA’s support initiatives. Students will therefore be manually enrolled in this course. This course can unfortunately not be purchased through the platform.
